Perfectly good breakfast food prepared fast by friendly staff. But I've never been to a diner with three-inch thick bulletproof glass between the dining room and the kitchen. Made me feel unsafe to be here. I'm not a Detroiter so I guess that's how they roll here? Also there's a TV absolutely blaring. When I was there a Joyce Meyers religious TV program was on. Not my thing but maybe they need prayers to back up the bulletproof glass? Anyway, it's convenient to a place I visit for business once in a while so I'll probably be back.
Always hot and ready, no matter the time! Best thing going is the Philly cheesesteaks! I can never finish them all
This is the top hood Coney Island! (I say that in a good way) They have food that your normal coney wouldn't have! This is the place to eat if you're in the area. The staff was nice and thorough. The inside is clean. They have pictures posted of all kinds of food to try (corned beef egg rolls, potato skins etc.) I went for a quick breakfast but wouldn't hesitate to try anything else. The order was right. Jelly & ketchup were in the bag with utensils. Give them a try
The big man breakfast special was great for under $7. They got her eggs fried right. It came with ham, sausage and bacon. The ham was some of the best I've ever tasted and the bacon was crispy. There was a huge serving of hash browns. My breakfast had 3 slices of french toast, which is what I expect. A different place only gave me 2 the other day. I just wish I was given some butter or margarine it was a little dry. Over all very good value, taste and portions.
I'm biased because Coney Island's are my favorite food group lol. This location is in the "hood" but that's what gives it the edge (in my opinion). Friendly staff, straight to the point. I get the same thing every time: Spinach and feta cheese omelet, hash browns with wheat toast. Delicious and piping hot as usual. Always a 10 minute or less wait time. About 8.50$ and I have a filling meal. Thank you Grandy's
